Family Artwork

My husband saw this cool idea in a Lowe's magazine and wanted to try it out.  He made these with our daughter, Kaity by staining some plywood, using masking tape to create the trees, painting over and then peeling off the tape.  She created the trees in the middle picture (and took these pictures for me).  It was a great weekend project!  I created a canvas using the masking tape a couple months ago.  Very fun technique!!

Busy Birthday Month

I love March!  It is such a fun and crazy time for my family.  It seems like there is a birthday every week!  My husband had his birthday on the 6th, my sister on the 7th and my father-in-law has one tomorrow.  My brother-in-law has one later this month, too!

We have also been blessed with lots of family visiting.  My parents were able to stay the night on their way to Arizona a couple weeks ago.  We had dinner at our favorite Irish Pub, MacCool's.  Dad was definitely impressed by our waitress's beer knowledge!  :)  My in-laws were here last weekend, so my father-in-law could enjoy some skiing and then golfing with my husband and son.  They had a great time!  Now my oldest daughter, Kylie will be visiting this coming weekend along with her boyfriend and their cute puppy.  Can't wait to see them!  Hope my house is ready for little Henry.  I promise to post a picture of this adorable puppy next week!

Here are a couple of the birthday cards I sent out.  They are made with retired Stampin' Up! products and stamps, but I love them!

The card is made with clear acetate and then the cardstock is layered inside and out.  The h is made from sticky strip sheets and then has glitter sprinkled on top.
