Day 3 Convention Highlights

I still can't believe that convention is over!  I am so excited to play with the Holiday Mini items and my past Paper Pumpkin kits.  I will be showing you the July Paper Pumpkin kit tomorrow and tell you how you can save 50% off your first two kits!  (We got a sneak peek at those, too and they are so cool!!!  I really can't wait to get the August kit!!)

I love these cards!  We used our FREE holiday mini stamp set we were given in our
bags at the start of convention.  It is a Christmas themed set called Your Presents, but
they showed us how to use it to create fun Birthday cards, too.  We created the lines on the
presents by doing the Kissing Technique with a lined stamp.  We turned it to create
the plaid look on the second card.  We used the new Basic Black Archival pad and it is
awesome!  No more smearing on Whisper White cardstock!!  Did you see that 3/8" White
Glitter ribbon and the Garden Green 1/8" striped ribbon?
Ready for our last General Session at Convention.  I think I'm
looking a bit tired now...

I won a Prize Patrol!  Woo hoo for Mint Macaron!  Here's a peek at
the new Acorny Thank You stamp set.  I love the name!  And I got
some Crumb Cake 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon!

I had to get a picture of Stacy clapping because she won a
Prize Patrol, too.  She ended up winning the stamp set that
she picked out for us all to win last night.  Too funny!

I see A Little Something in her customers future...
AND to end our fun weekend, we had one more All Attending prize... a pack of Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper!  This is another dsp that has been handpainted and then printed.  It showcases ornaments, lights, mistletoe, and more!  These papers really are beautiful!  I'll try to create something next week to show you some of the images.

Happy crafting!

More Convention Highlights - Day 2

Here are some more pictures showing how much fun we had on Day 2 of Convention this year.
Fun with friends!

Ready for Day 2

Mom and Stacy look so cute!  I think their glasses match.

Mom won the first Prize Patrol gift in our little group.  Sneak peek of a Holiday Mini set...
Showing off my new shirt from The Disney Store...
I couldn't resist checking out City Creek while we were here.

I had to show off my sister's notebook she made.
It was perfect and we used it at every session and class!
Thanks again, Stacy!!

Christmas in July!  Posing for some pictures in front of this cute display.
Do you like those deer?  Then you will have to check out the Home for Christmas
Designer Series Paper when in comes out in the Holiday Mini Catalog!
Close up!

I think I have my holiday picture for all of my stamping friends.

Okay... one more sneak peek.  Don't you just love that Santa?  He is
another image that is in the Home for Christmas DSP!  There are a
few different Santa pictures and we cut one out and put it on this cute tag.
I am definitely putting this on a Whisper White card front and buying
everything I need to mass produce this card.  I love it!!  (Other mini catalog items:
Cozy Christmas stamp set, Very Vanilla 1 1/4" Subtle Stripes Satin
Ribbon, and Home for Christmas Designer Buttons)

We also got a special All Attending prize today and it was... our BRAND NEW Basic Black Archival Ink Pad!!!  It will be available, along with Basic Gray, beginning September 1st!  I'll finish posting my Convention pictures tomorrow and then I will be posting some of my swap cards and projects, as well as some Paper Pumpkin projects.

Have a great week!

Convention Highlights - Day 1

I am back from our Stampin' Up! convention and ready to share about all of the fun that we had!  In case you didn't know, my mom and sister are both demonstrators and went to convention, too.  What a busy, crazy, blast we had!  Here are some fun pictures from our adventures at convention.

This was by far my favorite stage yet!  I think it is because of the pink flowers and frames.
Here is this year's convention bag!  Very cute and usable.  The inside is lined with a Watermelon Wonder color and has labeled pockets for your cell phone, pens, and camera!  How cool!
Here's a closer look at the Stampin' Up! logo on the bottom right pocket.
Here's a picture of my badge and the cute little notebook that my sister, Stacy created for us.  It was perfect for notes and I even left room for pictures, once I print them out.  Don't you love the elephant charm I added?
Mom and I are so excited to get through those doors on Day 1 for the General Session.
This General Session had a lot of discussions about the new Holiday Mini Catalog and it is beautiful!  I wish I could show you the cover, but I'm not supposed to yet.  It comes out September 1st, so check my blog then for a link to this amazing catalog.  Some of the designer series paper was actually hand painted and then printed!  Very unique!  We were lucky enough to get 8 free mini catalogs during General Session.  Woo hoo!  I think all we did at lunch was look through them.  :)

My favorite thing that I learned that day was how to jazz up the Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper during our Demonstrator Theater and Kit Panel class.  You can smudge it with markers and/or use sponge daubers to color in some of the flowers and it gives the paper a very vintage look.  I have to buy this!  (And the envelope punch board that I still don't have...  They used it in lots of demonstrations and we even used it during our Make-n-Take class on Saturday.)

Ready to head to Awards Night!  We are definitely embracing the 20's theme!

Hammin' it up in the elevator.

Don't we look cute!!  (I forgot to take my badge off!)
Ready for some fun at the After Party!

I love the car behind us!  I think we would fit in nicely during the 1920's.
Well, that's all for Day 1.  I will post more tomorrow, since I don't want to make this too long.  :)  If you liked my sister's notebook, then check out her blog at www.craftasticdayswithstacy.blogspot.com

Happy crafting!

Happy 4th of July!!

I hope everyone has had a fabulous holiday!  We're enjoying having the whole family together again for another holiday.  Two holidays in a row!  It's so nice to live by our oldest daughter, Kylie.  The kids are out buying fireworks, so I thought I would make a quick blog post while they are out.

I've gotten into the planner craze, so I wanted to show you a quick pic of my planner for July.   My favorite things listed are my pool completion, an Art Journaling class with Dina Wakely, and the Stampin' Up! Convention in Salt Lake City.  Excited to see my friends in Utah again, along with my mom and sister who will be attending Convention, too.

Happy July!
Decided to try some prompting to get me journaling more.  I found www.listersgottalist.com and she has some great monthly journaling lists to get you thinking and writing more.  I wanted to use as much Stampin' Up! items as I could, so I decided that the Moments Like These Project Life Cards and Stamp Set were perfect for this.  I love the black and white cards with the red and blue 4th of July colors.
Trying to see what I wanted to use for my first #listersgottalist challenge.
Here's the July challenge list and my 1st list.
Close up!  Stampin' Up! items used:  Real Red & Pacific Point Ink Pad and Cardstock, Moments Like These Project Life Stamp Set, Cards, and Accessory Kit.  Extras:  Washi Tape and retired Star punch.
Have a great weekend and don't forget to check out www.listersgottalist.com for some fun journaling inspiration!
