More Halloween Pictures

I hope everyone enjoyed this fun holiday today!  My husband helped the kids carve their pumpkins yesterday and I helped out with Dylan's class party today.  I think it was a hit!  Phew!  Here are some great pictures of us celebrating Halloween.
Dylan and his Transformers pumpkin that Dad helped carve.

Kaity's Grim Creeper pumpkin that she carved all by herself.

Our ghostly zombie!

I'm so scared of our zombie!!

All that muslin was for these posable mummies that the kids created at their Halloween Party today.  I got the idea from Pinterest, but tweaked it a little by using two pipe cleaners instead of wire.

Dylan holding his two zombies that he made.  He made one yesterday, so I could make sure it wouldn't take too long for the rest of his class to make!

Sebastian's not sure what to think of Zombie Dylan...

Sebastian's still checking him out...
Happy Halloween again and don't forget to order your Christmas Bundle!  See my post below for more info!!  Today is the last day!

Happy Halloween and Last Day to get the FREE Christmas Gift w/Bundle Purchase

First off, today is the last day to take advantage of the FREE Festive Paper-Piercing Pack when you purchase the Ornament Keepsakes Set and Candlelight Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Check out my website to place your order!  Hope I don't forget to order mine tonight!

I hope everyone is having a fantabulous Halloween!  I'm in charge of my son's 5th grade Halloween Party this year, so I'm just about ready to head to his school.  I've been busy all morning shredding all this muslin!  Any guesses as to why?
What is all this for?  Feel free to leave a comment with your thoughts and come back later today with the answer!
Well, if you follow me on Pinterest, you may have an idea... that's my only hint.  :)

I didn't forget the Halloween goodies for my other two kids, so I'll post pics of them later, too.

Happy Halloween!!

    Kylie's Spooky Halloween Care Package

I really haven't forgotten about my blog!  We went to Palm Springs last week to attend my husband's Aunt Lynn's wedding.  It was warm and beautiful!!  Plus, I am studying to take a PRAXIS exam in December.  I am so sad that I didn't plan an October Kit of the Month, because Halloween is one of my favorite holidays!!  On a fun note, I did finish my daughter's care package and gave it to her while we were in Palm Springs.  Here are some pictures of some of the fun items inside.  Since I didn't create a kit, just send me a note if you would like directions for any of the projects.  :)  I'll post pictures of the close ups on Tuesday, plus the final packaging.

    Spooky Bouquet

Have you ever come up with a fabulous idea in your head (or tried something cool from Pinterest) and it just doesn't come out like you imagined?  This happens to me all the time!  I didn't let it stop me from creating a fun outdoor Halloween display.  I decided it was Halloween, so if it fell apart it would just add to the decor.  ;)
Creepy Bouquet created by Tammi Verbarendse

The vase is actually a tin container that I broke the handles off of... I really wish I had sticky strip, but I used Tombow Liquid Glue instead.  Works pretty well, but very sticky through the sheer ribbon I used to cover up the tin container.  Like my spooky spiders?

    One single black rose.
Enjoy your week and I'll be posting more Halloween craft items later this week.  I've been working on a care package for my daughter who is at Arizona State University.  I couldn't just send her plain items!  I had to make some of them fun!

    Puzzle Time

For those of you who have been to my house in the last few months, you have probably seen my huge 1000 piece puzzle I've been working on.  I had these grand plans of hanging it on my wall once I completed this beautiful picture... well.  I almost gave up, but I got an OTT lite for my birthday and brought it next to the puzzle table, so I could see the pieces better and I FINISHED IT!!!  You may not be as excited as I am, but this is a huge accomplishment!  Now I will cover it with puzzle glue and find a frame so I can actually hang it on the wall above my puzzle table.  Here's a picture of my finished masterpiece.

I've been playing around with some fun Halloween items, so I'll post some pictures this week.  Still trying to decide about my October Kit of the Month... I'm not sure I can include Halloween themed items, due to the time constraint, so... I'll let you know later this week what I decide.  Maybe I'll come up with two mini kits...

    Happy Sunday!!
