Fashionable She Art Girl

I finally created my first She Art girl that was inspired by Christy Tomlinson and Julie Nutting.  I love their artwork!  I still need to add something to the background and coat the whole thing with my collage medium.

Another Envelope Scrapbook

Here is another mini scrapbook I created on Friday using some items from the Occasions mini.  Thanks again to my sister, Stacy McCain for showing me how to create them.

Inside of the Envelope Scrapbook

I tried to post these this weekend, but I was having download issues.  These pages are pretty basic, but you can add more embellishments once you add your photos.  I used 4 clear envelopes inside.

Clear Envelope Scrapbook

I came up with a fun scrapbooking project to demo at my Stampin' Up! party Saturday afternoon, thanks to my sister, Stacy McCain!  She showed me how to make this cute scrapbook using our clear envelopes.  I made a couple samples and then will make one from scratch at my party tomorrow using the new Simply Scrappin' Kit in the Occasions mini called, Spring Fever.

Here is one sample I made using the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper that you can get for FREE with a $50 order.  Check out the Sale-a-bration brochure for more information on this great promotion!

I'll post the other sample Sunday and then my first Fashionable She Art girl on Monday.  (I call her that because she was inspired by Julie Nutting and Christy Thomlinson.

Happy Valentine's Day!!

First off, I would like to wish everyone a very Happy Valentine's Day!  I stayed up late to finish my Valentine cards for my family.  I was still working on a few of my goals from my last post.  :)  I saw a fabulous card somewhere using punches to create a cute turtle.  I played around with my 1 3/8" circle punch and 3 hearts punch to create the turtle and then mounted it on the large scallop and then circle punches.

The red ones are for my two favorite boys and the pink are for my two favorite girls.

Now to my second item... my goals from last week.  I guess I completed half of them...
You can see my February blog banner above (1) and I did create a February calendar for my computer background (2).

I did clean off my kitchen table finally! (5)  I decided to clean out the pantry and then cleaned and reorganized my kitchen.  Looks great!  (But took crafting time away...)  ;)

I may not have walked every day (6), but I did do some type of exercise each day, except Sunday.  (Unless you count going to Costco!)

I did finish The Book Thief (7) and I highly recommend it to everyone!  It is a fabulous book and I was bawling in the end.  I haven't done that in a long time.  I decided to just jump right in and start reading the next book on our Book Club list, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.  AND I'm almost finished!  (I guess that took some crafting time away, too.)

For items 10 & 11, I did about half of each one.  I partially cleaned our little mudroom area, but I haven't made the tags for the hooks yet.  I did create some Valentine cards for my family and I came up with the activities for my son's Valentine's Party later today, so I guess that counts for number 11.

I am heading to Boise on Thursday with Dylan for some fun crafting time with my family and friends!  I should have plenty to post after this weekend!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Goals for the week

Okay... I know I'm in trouble when I have all these ideas and projects I want to complete this week and it is already Tuesday... Pinterest is so addictive!!  I'm really good at making lists, so here are some things I hope to complete by Saturday...  I'll keep you posted.  :)

1.  Create a new blog banner using My Digital Studio since it is already the 7th of FEBRUARY!!

2.  Create a February calendar for my computer wallpaper, since we have been in February for a week already!

3.  Create some birthday cards, since the birthdays happened the first week of February... (Dad and two of Kaity's friends)

4.  Finish my Button Farm Year in Review album that I started last month!

5.  Clean off my kitchen table... (on a good note, the rest of the upstairs is already clean.)

6.  Walk each day.

7.  Finish The Book Thief - I'm almost done!  I'm in the middle of Part 8 of 10.  My daughter, Kaity and I highly recommend this book!!

8.  Create a routine and stick to it... use my teaching background to create a lesson plan like routine to follow daily!

9.  Create a girl on canvas or in my Art Journal using the ideas from Julie Nutting and Christy Thomlinson.

10.  Clean the little mudroom area and create some fun labels for my family, so they know where to hang their coats and backpacks.  Shoes stay IN the baskets under the bench.

11.  Just create some fun projects!!!  Valentine's, cards, mini scrapbooks, canvas... whatever, JUST CRAFT!!

Do you think those are enough goals to try to reach by Saturday?  Off to tackle 1 & 2 now.
