Family Cardmaking Day
I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving yesterday! We made the trip from Utah to Boise on Wednesday to spend some time with our family this year. It was so nice to celebrate Thanksgiving with them again! It's been 5 years since the last time we were able to, since we were living in Minnesota.
The other nice thing about living closer to my family is that I get to enjoy our Family Cardmaking Day again! This year it will be my mom, sister, aunt, grandma and my sister's mother-in-law. We each design a card and then make 5 of each person's card. It's so fun to see what everyone created and we get a head start on our Christmas cards.
Here is a picture of the one I created on Tuesday. I am know as a procrastinator, so I waited until then to create my card, prep my kits, buy my family some Christmas gifts (so I don't have to mail them), wrap them, create gift tags for them AND create a couple last minute Christmas gifts that I can't show you until after Christmas. (I don't want to ruin the surprise.) Phew! Glad I got it all done and I hope you like my card.
Happy Stamping! (Don't forget to check my Stampin' Up! website to take advantage of the online specials going on thru November 30th.)

Mixed Media Christmas Project
I hope that everyone had a fabulous weekend, whether that means being productive or laying around in your pjs all day. I did a little of both. Here is a picture of a canvas I'm working on using my leftover scraps from my November Kit of the Month. I've been wanting to try a Mixed Media project on canvas, so... I did! This is just one stage of many for this piece. I wanted to create 3 canvas projects that spelled out 'Boo!', but... never got to it. Now I decided to try for 'Joy!' Maybe I'll have it finished by Thanksgiving. ;)

Sunday Family Day Pic
I've been thinking a lot about my Grandpa Calvin this weekend, so I thought a picture of the two of us would be perfect for my Sunday pic. He had surgery on one of his arteries yesterday and is still in the hospital recovering. I know he will be fine because he is very strong and... well... he just will be. Please keep him in your prayers and hope that he heals quickly. I can't wait to see him on Thanksgiving!

Tammi's Digital Studio Day
I know it's not officially Digital Scrapbooking Day anymore, but I thought I would try posting a project I created with My Digital Studio every week. For today's project, I wanted to highlight two photos that I just love right now. One is with my sister and her daughter and the other is me with my youngest child. The thing I really love about My Digital Studio is that you can easily create a scrapbook page thanks to the digital layouts that come with the CD. I used the Summer Home kit to create the layout below. All I had to do was add my pictures and the journaling.

Pretty Pearls
Here is a pretty card using one of my favorite single stamps, Triple Treat Flower. A simple way to jazz up a card is by adding our Stampin' Up! Basic Pearls or Rhinestones. They are self-adhesive jewels that add a quick and simple beauty to a card. This card was designed by my mother, Cris McCarthy and was very fun to make! I love how she had us add the pearls to the saying at the bottom.

Welcome November!
It was definitely a beautiful Halloween yesterday! The sun was shining, most of the day and it was a perfect night for the kids out Trick-or-Treating. Dylan wasn't sure he wanted to go out, but then the lure of treats was too much for him. ;) His Uncle Steve sent him a cool flight suit from Florida, so it was a great costume!
Now... today it is snowing in the mountains and supposed to snow in the valley. So far, it's just rain, but we'll see. I wanted to post a beautiful fall card to go with this new month, so I decided on this fabulous card created by my mother, Cris McCarthy. It uses the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper, like I used on my November Blog Topper and she put the whole card through her Big Shot using a texture die. What a great idea!! You can earn a FREE Big Shot by signing up as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator through November 11th. Click on my link on the right for more info!
