Bottle Cap Magnets

I've been busy getting some swaps ready for Convention, which is in two weeks!  I like signing up for organized swaps, because I know what I'll be getting back.  In case you have no idea what a swap is, I'll explain.  You create a card or mini project and then trade it with someone for another idea.  It's a great way to get samples from stamp sets you don't currently own.  Here's my 3D swap project.  I made bottlecap magnets.  My daughter has been making these for years, so I knew I had plenty of supplies on hand.

Getting Ready for Convention...

I just returned from my third road trip to Boise yesterday, so I apologize for not posting anything last week!  We had a fabulous time playing Bunco... Stampin' Up! Style last Thursday.  I can't wait to host another one in August!

I did work on some card swaps at mom's house and I finished a few today, too.  Here are a few sneak peek, messy craft room pictures.  I'll post some of the finished swaps starting tomorrow!

Happy Crafting and have a fun week!

Nightmare Before Christmas Tree

I bought this cool black tree for Halloween and never decorated it.  We decided we kind of liked it on our mantel, but how do you fit it in with Christmas?  The answer, of course is to make Nightmare Before Christmas ornaments!  My daughter, Kaity loves making items with bottle caps, so I put her in charge of this project.  She drew the characters on little circles cut out with the 1" Stampin' Up! circle punch and adds Crystal Effects to the top.  Once they are dry, she punches a hole at the top with the Crop-a-dile and then used the thin black ribbon at the top.  She's so creative!
