Butterfly Trading Cards

What are trading cards??  Well, they are basically small samples that you can use as business cards or attach to the front of a card.  I signed up for TWO of these swaps!  Here is the first one I have completed using one of my favorite new stamp sets, Papillon Potpourri.  I wanted to add a little sparkle, so added some Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz.  I think these would look really cute on the front of a card with a vanilla and coral base...  maybe I'll try that and let you know.

My First Finished Art Journal Page

I can't tell you how much fun it was creating this page!  I can't wait to do more!  (Of course, my husband would probably appreciate me folding all the laundry that has been piling up while I've been crafting... at least I washed it!)

I forgot to mention that I'm using a composition notebook that my sister gave me years ago.  She decorated the front with the girl from the So Cool stamp set.  (At least I think that's what it was called.)  She wrote a meaningful note inside, which is part of why I wanted flowers on the first page.

Also, I wanted to let you know that I have been walking on the treadmill while I've been doing my 'research' on YouTube.  Okay... you probably don't care about that, but it makes me feel better.  :)
The note my sister, Stacy McCain wrote me is on the left.  It fits perfectly with my page!  I decided to add a little sparkle by using my Smooch Spritz in Vanilla Shimmer and some Basic Pearls.  I also used some of the new Large Pearl Basic Jewels that are in the Occasions Mini that just came out.  I kind of flipped the edges of the flowers up and I'm done!

7th Day of Christmas

I LOVE this page!  We had a family picture taken at the zoo, but the best part is when we were visiting the museum with Bry's family and his dad, who is a pilot, climbed up to look into the window of one of the helicopters... then we saw the sign.  Too funny!

1st Day of Christmas

Well, I thought if would fit perfectly to showcase my Calendar pages with the 12 days of Christmas, since there are 12 months and the last one is December.  I create one of these every year for my in-laws and my husband.  (The rest of my family makes their own.)  I'm usually pretty bad at the journaling part, so... I just hope they remember who people are.  ;)

The pictures that I took at Olympic Park in Park City, UT were perfect for January.

More Gift Tags

Here are some of the other tags we made using the Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series Paper from the mini catalog and some paint.  I also used the Tree Trimmings and Pines & Poinsettias stamp sets.

Gift Tags

Dylan and I had fun creating some homemade gift tags the other day.  I am really into Mixed Media, so I decided to experiment with dryer sheets, paper and paint.  When they were all dry, we cut/punched them out and added them to our packages.
Dylan's really focused on painting.

Dylan thought a plastic fork would work better to hold the circles down to create our snowmen.
He was right.

Our finished snowman tag made with the dryer sheets.

I'll post some more tags tomorrow, so don't forget to check back.  Also, I will start the 12 Days of Christmas on Tuesday, December 13th!  You'll get to see one calendar page a day!
